【2025. 5. 23】国連人間居住計画 / ASEAN「マルチステークホルダー能力強化プログラム」にて当プロジェクトが発表されました！/ SMART & STRONG Project Presented at UN-Habitat / ASEAN Training "Multi-Stakeholder Capacity Building Program"

2025年5月22日～23日にかけて、国連人間居住計画（UN-Habitat） / ASEANによる持続可能な都市化に関するプロジェクト（Accelerating the Implementation of the ASEAN Sustainable Urbanization Strategy Project - Phase II）の一環として、都市計画・まちづくりの関係者を対象とする研修「都市リーダーのための都市計画研修およびマルチステークホルダー能力強化プログラム」が実施されました。

そのうち、「多様な関係者を巻き込む能力強化」に焦点を当てた23日のプログラムの一部「パートナシップとファンディング」において、当SMART＆STONGプロジェクトの運営手法が事例として選ばれ、発表を行いました。

まず、ランサン・ブンイトー市長から、「サステイナビリティを見据えたタイ国内外のネットワーキングによるプロジェクト」と題し、当事業の形成経緯や、タイ39か所に広がった自治体、中央政府や研究機関とのネットワーク、周辺国との連携体制拡大を見据えたビジョン、各自治体予算で発現した取組を他自治体とも学び合い、修正を加えながら更に発展させていく手法が紹介されました。

続くパネルディスカッションでは、UN-Habitat バンコク事務所による司会のもと、UNDPタイ事務所の開発経済専門家やUrban-Act 専門家と共に、当事業のコアメンバーであるタマサート大学社会福祉学部のナタパット助教授が登壇しました。多機関連携や財政的な持続性の担保について、当事業からインプットする機会をいただきました。

From May 22 to 23, 2025, a seminar titled "Urban Planning for City Leaders Training and Multi-Stakeholder Capacity Building Programs" was implemented as a part of the UN-Habitat & ASEAN-led project, Accelerating the Implementation of the ASEAN Sustainable Urbanization Strategy Project - Phase II.

On the program of May 23 focusing on multi-stakeholder capacity development, this SMART & STRONG project was selected to present as a localized solution on the matter of "Partnership & Funding."

At first, Mr. Rungsam Nuntakawong, Mayor of Bueng Yitho Municipality, presented with a title “Sustainable projects with national and international networking in Thailand,” and introduced the background of this project's formation, network of 39 local authorities, central government, research institutions, and other stakeholders, the vision for expanding partnerships with neighboring countries, and the method to further develop community-care initiatives, implemented with each municipality's budged allocation, through mutual learning among other municipalities, advisors, and stakeholders.

Then, at the panel discussion on partnership and funding moderated by UN-Habitat Bangkok, Assistant Professor Nattapat Sarabol from Thammasat University Faculty of Social Administration, also one of the core members in this project, attended as a speaker, along with a Development Economist from the UNDP Thailand and an advisor from Urban-Act. We had the opportunity to provide input from SMART & STRONG Project on multi-stakeholder collaboration and program design with network municipalities' efforts to ensure financial sustainability.
