【2025. 6. 27】国連ESCAPの高齢者ケア視察団がブンイトー市を訪問し意見交換を行いました！/ UN ESCAP Delegates Visited Bueng Yitho Municipality and Exchanged Ideas on Care for Older Persons

国連ESCAP、高齢者ケアの国際視察団を率いて、タイ初のAge Friendly City加盟自治体であるブンイトー市の好事例を視察

～UN ESCAP led an international delegation on care for older persons to observe good practices in Bueng Yitho Municipality, the first Age Friendly City network municipality in Thailand～

2025年6月27日、当SMART＆STRONGプロジェクトのネットワーク自治体であるパトムタニ県ブンイトー市にて、国連アジア太平洋経済社会委員会（UN ESCAP）社会開発部長のスリニバス・タタ氏（Mr. Srinivas Tata）をはじめとする代表団約30名が、タイにおける高齢者ケアの視察を実施しました。「アジア太平洋地域における高齢化：近年及び将来の動向、影響、政策及び今後の方向性（Population Aging in Asia and the Pacific - Recent and Future Trends, Implications, Policies and Way Forward）」に関する専門家会合の機会を活用し、政府関係者や専門家らによる今回の視察が実現されました。

On 27 June 2025, a delegation of about 30 people, led by Mr. Srinivas Tata, Director of the Social Development Division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP), visited Bueng Yitho Municipality, Pathum Thani Province, one of the network municipalities of this SMART & STRONG project. The ESCAP delegates, comprising government officials and experts, conducted a tour of care for older persons in Thailand on the occasion of the expert meeting on 'Population Ageing in Asia and the Pacific - Recent and Future Trends, Implications, Policies and Way Forward.'

ブンイトー市は、世界保健機関（WHO）の「高齢者にやさしい都市とコミュニティのグローバルネットワーク（Global Network of Age-friendly Cities and Communities）」にタイで初めて加盟（2025年4月）した自治体でもあります。今回のESCAP視察における目的は、地域レベルでの高齢者にやさしいサービス提供とその発展に関するタイの好事例共有と学び合いでした。特に、健康・社会・環境といった多面的なニーズに対応した統合的な高齢者ケアモデルの発展に焦点が当てられました。

Bueng Yitho Municipality is also the first municipality in Thailand to join the World Health Organisation (WHO)'s Global Network of Age-friendly Cities and Communities (since April 2025). The purpose of the ESCAP visit was to share and learn from good practices in Thailand regarding the development of age-friendly initiatives at the local community level. In particular, the focus was on developing integrated models of care for older persons that address multifaceted health, social, and environmental needs.

訪問にあたっては、ブンイトー市のランサン市長をはじめ、副市長、保健衛生部長、医師、看護専門官らが、同市の高齢者ケアに関する取り組みの説明や質疑応答に応じました。また、医療・リハビリセンターの現地見学も実施しました。タマサート大学社会福祉学部のナタパット助教授とその研究チームも参加し、学術的な視点からの意見交換が行われました。

During the visit, the Mayor Mr. Rungsam Nuntakawong, the Deputy Mayor, the Director of Public Health, doctors, and nursing specialists of Bueng Yitho Municipality explained the city's elderly care programs and responded to visitors' questions. A site visit to the medical and rehabilitation centre was also conducted. Assistant Professor Nattapat from the Faculty of Social Administration, Thammasat University, also attended the visit to exchange ideas from academic perspectives.

この訪問は、タイの高齢者に優しいまちづくりの取り組みを国際社会に示す重要な機会となり、今後の地域・国際レベルにおける政策形成と実践の推進につながる学びの場となりました。

The visit provided an important learning opportunity to demonstrate to the international community Thailand's age-friendly community development, and to promote policy formation and practices at the regional and international levels in the future.
