【2025. 10. 22】タイ政府 教育機会是正基金（EEF）主催の国際セミナーにて当プロジェクトが紹介されました！/ SMART & STRONG Project Presented at an International Seminar Organized by Equitable Education Fund (EEF)

2025年10月22日、タイ政府の教育機会是正基金（Equitable Education Fund：EEF）が実施した国際セミナーにおいて、当SMART & STRONGプロジェクトの取組が紹介されました。タイの中央政府職員、自治体職員、若者支援団体など約140名の参加で実施されました。

EEFは、教育格差の是正を目的とし、経済的・地理的・社会的に不利な立場にある子ども・若者に対して教育へのアクセスを支援するタイ政府系の団体です。

今回のセミナーでは、「地域コミュニティの若者による社会参加を通じたエンパワメントと社会参加を促進するイノベーティブな事例」として、発表がなされました。

NGO野毛坂グローカルの奥井利幸氏から、地域コミュニティ活動を通じた若者のエンパワメントについて、日本における自治体、NPO、ボランティア、町内会の取り組み事例と、タイとの比較が発表されました。

続いて、タマサート大学社会福祉学部のナタパット助教授から、当プロジェクトのネットワーク自治体である、ロブリ県カオプラガム市、プラチュアップキリカン県ホアヒン市、チャチュンサオ県サメットタイ町での若者の関わりと貢献が発表されました。

質疑応答では、政府や自治体の役割、高齢者と若者の相互理解に向けた取り組みなど、活発な意見交換が行われました。

On October 22, 2025, the SMART & STRONG Project was introduced at an international seminar organized by Thailand’s Equitable Education Fund (EEF). The event brought together around 140 participants, including officials from the central government and local authorities, as well as representatives from youth organizations.

The EEF is a government-affiliated organization in Thailand that aims to reduce educational inequality by supporting access to education for children and youth from economically, geographically, and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. (EEF official website: https://en.eef.or.th/)

At this seminar, the project was presented as an “innovative case that promotes empowerment and social participation through youth engagement in local communities.”

Mr. Toshiyuki Okui from the NGO Nogezaka Glocal presented on youth empowerment through community-based activities, sharing examples from Japan’s local governments, NPOs, volunteer groups, and neighborhood associations, as well as comparisons with the Thai context.

This was followed by a presentation from Assoc. Prof. Natthaphat Sarobol of Thammasat University’s Faculty of Social Administration, who shared insights on youth participation and contributions in the project’s partner municipalities—Khao Phra Ngam (Lopburi Province), Hua Hin (Prachuap Khiri Khan Province), and Samet Tai (Chachoengsao Province).

During the Q&A session, participants actively exchanged ideas on the roles of government and local authorities, as well as initiatives to promote mutual understanding between older and younger generations.
